Bug and Issue Tracking
If you are sure you've found a bug or misbehaving functionality in Muse, we would appreciate you letting us know about it by submitting a bug report.
Before reporting:
- Check if your installation was appropriate. Make sure you are including the proper libraries in your classpaths.
- Try to reproduce the problem. Learn the circumstances which cause it. Try to reproduce it with the least number of steps.
- If at all possible, provide a JUnit test case along with the bug so that the bug will hopefully never resurface again. Not only that, it saves us ALOT of time in trying to write the test case ourselves and figuring out what went wrong. This also helps you to reproduce the bug as well.
- Read the FAQ.
When you are ready to report:
Echomine uses Jira to keep account of issues, tasks, bugs, and feature improvements. You can view current bugs and submit issues to the issue tracker.
If you need something to be fixed in Muse, please lean back, take a deep breath and try to imagine how to describe the problem exactly to the dumb (it means us). Please spend some time on the bug report to make it clean and understandable - we will spend more time to provide a better free software to you. The more careful and thorough your report, the faster it will get fixed.
To isolate a problem or a bug, we need as many facts as possible:
- The JDK version you are running on
- The platform/OS you are running on
- The version of Muse API that you are using
- A full and detailed description of your problem and how to reproduce it
- Optional and Recommended: A JUnit Test Case attached to the bug report.
Submit your report
Login to Jira and submit your report.
You will need to sign up for a new JIRA account so that you can be notified when updates occur on the reported issue.
Mailing Lists
Consider subscribing to our mailing list so you can get the most up to date announcements on Muse developments. We provide two mailing lists:
muse-announce - Moderated announcement mailing list
This list is a very low traffic list. If you are not interested in technical details and do not want to be bothered with developer discussions but just want to know if a new version of Muse has been released, this mailing list is for you: news of this kind will be announced there.
Please do not send emails to this list because it is moderated and is a one-way mailing list. Your messages will be discarded.
muse-developer - User and Developer mailing list
Important: Please use JIRA to Report Bugs.
This is the main mailing list for developers and users of the Muse project.
Maybe you would like to contribute to the Muse project and help a little bit? Or perhaps you just have questions regarding the usage of Muse. Then this mailing list is the right place for you.
Even if you do not want to contribute, but just want to know what is going on with Muse, you may subscribe to this mailing list.
Subscribing to the Mailing Lists
 | Unsubscribing from the mailing lists
If you want to leave one of these lists, the procedure is the same. Just follow the links above, and go through the unsubscribe options. |
Sending emails to the list
Once you are subscribed, you can now send emails to the list.
muse-developer@lists.sourceforge.net
You must be a subscriber in order to send email to the list. This is to prevent spammers from sending spam mail to the list.
